ColdFusion Community

The online ColdFusion / CFML community website

Lately all of our client work has been built upon the Sava CMS, and with some greatly anticipated additions coming specifically for developers (plugins integration and broader licensing) I'm hopeful a lot of other CF developers are going to get on board too. It feels like this could be the O/S CMS for Coldfusion that really has a chance of building a wide range of plugins and enhancements.

I'd love to hear if anybody else is developing in Sava, and what if any tools they might be developing for it (commercial or GPL).

Knivis CMS has had plug-in and enhancement capability for sometime now.
There is even a built-in ColdFusion editor...
With the editor you can create cfm and cfc plug-ins
There are videos on this site showing the editor
I've been using sava CMS since a couple of months and I found it very powerful and with a lot of extendible features. Actually I'm trying to code a first simple 'plugin' just to see how plugins works (they seems to be very interesting). I used also Sava CMS to build my site/blog: http://www.giampierobonifazi.info What's interesting is that I installed Sava CMS in a shared hosting plan with a very cheap budget (but with great performance).

I am currently working on implimenting Sava CMS for my employer based on my recommendation. So far it is working better than expected. There are several related major institutions moving to the platform simultaniously and may use the ability of Sava to share resource pools. There are a multitude of goals to acheive and the project scope is still being defined even as the sites are being built. So far there appears to be no limit to the creative ability within Sava SMS. Dreamweaver is still used for template and component editing. You could very well use Eclipse. Esential is an understanding of the library Sava makes available so you may avoid building existing structures. Also a detailed understanding of CSS is required to make a Sava CMS project successful.
